Baked Apple Herbal Infusion

A warm, soothing herbal infusion that blends the comforting flavors of baked apple with aromatic spices and herbs. Perfect for relaxation or a cozy evening drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 apple, cored and sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1 tsp dried chamomile flowers (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried hibiscus petals (optional)
  • 23 cloves
  • 2 cups water
  • 12 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the sliced apple on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes, or until soft and caramelized.
  3. In a small pot, add water, cinnamon stick, ginger, cloves, and the roasted apple slices.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  5. If using chamomile or hibiscus, add them in the last 5 minutes of simmering.
  6. Strain the infusion into a mug and sweeten with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use organic apples for best flavor and to avoid pesticide residues.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste or omit sweeteners entirely for a sugar-free version.
  • Great as a caffeine-free alternative to tea or coffee.
