Balsamic Tomato Bruschetta

A fresh and tangy appetizer featuring ripe tomatoes marinated in balsamic vinegar, served over toasted bread slices.

  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 baguette, sliced and toasted

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Let the mixture sit for at least 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  3. Meanwhile, toast baguette slices until golden and crisp.
  4. Spoon the tomato mixture onto the toasted baguette slices just before serving.
  5. Garnish with extra basil if desired and serve immediately.

  • Use high-quality balsamic vinegar for best flavor.
  • Toast the bread just before serving to maintain crispness.
