Banana Nut Bliss Ice Cream

A creamy, homemade ice cream that combines the natural sweetness of ripe bananas with the crunch of toasted nuts for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, toasted
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the mashed bananas, heavy cream, milk, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir well to combine.
  2. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  3. During the last few minutes of churning, add in the toasted nuts.
  4. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, substitute the heavy cream and milk with coconut cream and almond milk.
  • If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can place the mixture in a container and freeze, stirring every 30 minutes until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Toast the nuts in a dry pan over medium heat for a few minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
