Canada Day Bark (Chocolate Bark)

A festive red-and-white chocolate bark decorated with candies and sprinkles, perfect for celebrating Canada Day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (340 g) white chocolate, chopped
  • 4 oz (115 g) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup red candy melts
  • 1/4 cup red and white sprinkles
  • 1/4 cup mini red candies (like M&M’s)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Pour the melted white chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.
  4. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and red candy melts separately, then drizzle both over the white chocolate.
  5. Use a toothpick or skewer to swirl the chocolates together for a marbled effect.
  6. Sprinkle red and white sprinkles and mini candies evenly over the surface while still wet.
  7. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes, or until completely set.
  8. Break into pieces and serve.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best taste and texture.
  • Work quickly once the chocolate is melted to prevent it from setting before decorating.
  • Store in an airtight container in a cool place for up to a week.
