Candyland Layer Trifle

A colorful and whimsical dessert trifle made with layers of cake, pudding, whipped cream, candies, and sprinkles – perfect for parties or themed celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 box funfetti cake mix (plus ingredients required on box)
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding
  • 2 cups whipped cream or Cool Whip
  • 1 cup assorted gummy candies
  • 1 cup chocolate candies (M&M’s, Reese’s Pieces, etc.)
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup crushed cookies or candy bars
  • Marshmallows (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Bake the funfetti cake according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
  2. Cut the cake into cubes.
  3. In a large trifle bowl, place a layer of cake cubes on the bottom.
  4. Spoon a layer of vanilla pudding over the cake.
  5. Add a layer of whipped cream on top.
  6. Sprinkle a mix of gummy candies, chocolate candies, and crushed cookies over the cream.
  7. Repeat layers until the bowl is full, finishing with whipped cream.
  8. Top with sprinkles, marshmallows, and extra candies for decoration.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute chocolate pudding for vanilla if preferred.
  • Use store-bought pound cake or angel food cake to save time.
  • Make ahead and refrigerate overnight for best flavor.
  • Customize with your favorite candies or colors to match a theme.
