Caprese Salad with Balsamic Glaze

A fresh and vibrant Italian salad made with ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fragrant basil, and a sweet-tangy balsamic glaze. Perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • 12 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Arrange alternating slices of tomatoes and mozzarella on a serving platter.
  2. Tuck whole basil leaves between the slices.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the salad.
  4. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top.
  5. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
