- 1 pint cherry tomatoes
- 1 (8-ounce) package mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
- 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Toothpicks or small skewers
- Wash the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves thoroughly and pat dry.
- Drain the mozzarella balls and pat them dry with paper towels.
- On each toothpick or small skewer, thread one cherry tomato, one basil leaf, and one mozzarella ball. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Arrange the skewers on a serving platter.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze and olive oil, if using.
- Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- Use heirloom cherry tomatoes for a colorful presentation.
- Can be assembled a few hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
- For added flavor, marinate mozzarella in olive oil and herbs before assembling.
