- 9 oz (250 g) cheese tortellini, fresh or refrigerated
- 2 cups (480 ml) tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook tortellini according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
