Quick and easy cherry freezer jam that’s sweet, vibrant, and perfect for spreading on toast, muffins, or pancakes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh cherries, pitted and chopped
  • 1½ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons fruit pectin (powdered)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine chopped cherries, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir well and let sit for 15 minutes to allow juices to release.
  2. Sprinkle powdered fruit pectin over the cherry mixture and stir thoroughly for 3 minutes until the sugar is dissolved completely.
  3. Ladle the jam into clean freezer-safe jars or containers, leaving about ½-inch headspace.
  4. Secure lids tightly, allow jars to stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes to set.
  5. Place jars into the freezer or refrigerator. Jam can be refrigerated for immediate use or stored in the freezer for longer storage.

Notes
