Chocolate-Covered Pretzels

Chocolate-covered pretzels are a simple, sweet-and-salty snack made by dipping crunchy pretzels into melted chocolate and allowing them to set. Perfect for parties, gifts, or a quick treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups mini pretzels
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or melting chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening (optional, for smoother melting)
  • Sprinkles or crushed nuts (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted. Add coconut oil if using.
  3. Dip each pretzel halfway (or fully) into the melted chocolate, using a fork to lift and let excess drip off.
  4. Place the dipped pretzels on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle with optional toppings before the chocolate sets.
  6. Let the pretzels sit at room temperature or refrigerate for 15-30 minutes until the chocolate is firm.
  7. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge.

Notes

  • You can use white, milk, or dark chocolate as preferred.
  • Try using flavored pretzels for a twist.
  • Great for holiday-themed snacks with seasonal sprinkles.
