Classic Pecan Pie

A traditional Southern dessert, classic pecan pie is a rich and sweet custard pie filled with toasted pecans and a buttery, flaky crust. Perfect for holidays or special gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together corn syrup, sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  4. Stir in the pecans and pour the mixture into the prepared crust.
  5. Bake for 50–60 minutes, until the center is set and the pie is golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Cover the edges of the crust with foil halfway through baking if they brown too quickly.
  • The pie will continue to set as it cools.
  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
