  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour, heat-treated
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ cups mini chocolate chips
  • 4 cups vanilla ice cream, softened

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add milk and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  3. Gradually stir in flour and salt until dough forms.
  4. Fold in mini chocolate chips.
  5. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and evenly press half the dough into the bottom.
  6. Spread softened ice cream evenly over the dough.
  7. Cover ice cream with remaining dough, pressing gently to form an even layer.
  8. Freeze for at least 4 hours, until firm.
  9. Cut into squares and serve immediately.

Notes

  • To heat-treat flour, bake it at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes and let cool completely.
  • Wrap individually and store in freezer for easy treats.
