Cotton Candy Layer Parfait

A whimsical and colorful dessert, the Cotton Candy Layer Parfait features layers of creamy pudding, vibrant gelatin, and fluffy whipped topping, finished with cotton candy for a fun and festive treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (3 oz) blue raspberry gelatin
  • 1 package (3 oz) pink strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water (1 cup per gelatin flavor)
  • 2 cups cold water (1 cup per gelatin flavor)
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • Cotton candy (for garnish)
  • Optional: sprinkles or candy decorations

Instructions

  1. Prepare each gelatin flavor separately by dissolving each in 1 cup of boiling water, then adding 1 cup of cold water. Pour into shallow dishes and refrigerate for 2 hours or until set.
  2. Once set, cut gelatin into cubes and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together instant pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes. Let it stand for 5 minutes to thicken.
  4. Fold half of the whipped topping into the pudding mixture for a light and fluffy texture.
  5. In serving glasses or parfait cups, layer the blue gelatin cubes, followed by a layer of pudding mixture, then the pink gelatin cubes, and another layer of pudding. Repeat layers as desired.
  6. Top with a dollop of whipped topping and a tuft of cotton candy just before serving.
  7. Garnish with sprinkles or candy decorations if using. Serve immediately for best presentation.

Notes

  • Assemble just before serving to prevent cotton candy from dissolving.
  • You can use different flavored gelatins for varied colors and tastes.
  • Clear parfait glasses work best to show off the colorful layers.
