Cucumber Canapés with Cream Cheese

Refreshing and elegant cucumber canapés topped with herbed cream cheese, perfect for parties and gatherings.

  • 1 large cucumber, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the cucumber into 1/2-inch thick rounds. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, dill, chives, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Transfer the cream cheese mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  4. Pipe the cream cheese mixture onto each cucumber slice.
  5. Garnish with additional herbs if desired and chill until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use English cucumbers for fewer seeds and a more uniform shape.
  • You can prepare the cream cheese filling ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to assemble.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or a drizzle of honey.
