Cheese quesadilla triangles are a quick and delicious snack or appetizer made by filling tortillas with cheese, grilling until crispy, and cutting into wedges.

Ingredients

  • 4 flour tortillas (8-inch)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter or cooking spray
  • Optional: salsa, sour cream, or guacamole for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Place one tortilla on the skillet and sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded cheese evenly over it.
  3. Top with another tortilla and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden and the cheese starts melting.
  4. Flip carefully and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Remove from the skillet and let it cool for a minute.
  6. Cut into triangles using a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
  7. Repeat with remaining tortillas and cheese.
  8. Serve warm with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole if desired.

Notes

  • Use a mix of cheeses like mozzarella and pepper jack for extra flavor.
  • Add cooked vegetables or meats to make it more filling.
  • To make it healthier, use whole wheat tortillas and low-fat cheese.
