Frozen Chocolate Banana Bites

Frozen Chocolate Banana Bites are a simple and healthy treat made with banana slices dipped in chocolate and frozen to perfection—great for snacking or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (or semi-sweet)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the bananas into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the banana slices in a single layer. Freeze for 1 hour.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  4. Dip each frozen banana slice into the melted chocolate, coating it halfway or fully, and place it back on the parchment-lined sheet.
  5. Freeze the chocolate-covered banana bites for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate is set.
  6. Serve frozen and store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

  • You can use milk or white chocolate instead of dark chocolate.
  • Top with chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or sprinkles before freezing for added texture and flavor.
  • Use ripe but firm bananas to avoid mushiness.
