Guacamole with Tortilla Chips

A classic Mexican dip made with ripe avocados, lime juice, and seasonings, served with crispy tortilla chips.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado with a fork or potato masher to your desired consistency.
  3. Add lime juice and salt. Mix well.
  4. Stir in diced onion, chopped cilantro, tomatoes, and minced garlic.
  5. Add cayenne pepper if desired, and mix to combine.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap pressed against the surface and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  7. Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • Use ripe avocados for best texture and flavor.
  • Adjust lime juice and salt to taste.
  • Guacamole is best consumed fresh but can be stored with plastic wrap touching the surface to reduce browning.
