- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)
- Tortilla chips, for serving
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Mash the avocado with a fork or potato masher to your desired consistency.
- Add lime juice and salt. Mix well.
- Stir in diced onion, chopped cilantro, tomatoes, and minced garlic.
- Add cayenne pepper if desired, and mix to combine.
- Cover with plastic wrap pressed against the surface and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Serve with tortilla chips.

- Use ripe avocados for best texture and flavor.
- Adjust lime juice and salt to taste.
- Guacamole is best consumed fresh but can be stored with plastic wrap touching the surface to reduce browning.
