Ham and Cheese Sliders

These ham and cheese sliders are warm, melty mini sandwiches made with soft Hawaiian rolls, layers of savory ham and gooey cheese, topped with a buttery mustard glaze, then baked until golden and irresistible.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 12 slices deli ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese (cut in half)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them individually.
  3. Place the bottom halves in a lightly greased baking dish.
  4. Layer the ham evenly over the rolls, followed by the cheese.
  5. Place the top halves of the rolls back on.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  7. Brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  10. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
  • Substitute Swiss with cheddar or provolone for a different flavor.
  • For a crispier top, broil for the last minute.
