- 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp rolled oats
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a small oven-safe ramekin.
- Toss diced apple with lemon juice, brown sugar, and half of the cinnamon. Place mixture into the ramekin.
- In a small bowl, combine oats, flour, remaining cinnamon, salt, melted butter, and honey or maple syrup until crumbly.
- Sprinkle oat mixture evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
- Serve warm, optionally with yogurt, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- You can use quick oats if you don’t have rolled oats.
- Adjust sweetness with more or less sugar or honey.
- Add a pinch of nutmeg for extra warmth.
- Recipe can be doubled or tripled easily for more servings.
