Lavender Iced Tea

A refreshing and calming herbal beverage, Lavender Iced Tea is infused with dried lavender buds and typically served chilled. Perfect for hot summer days or relaxing evenings, it offers a floral aroma and subtle sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
  • 2 black tea bags (or green tea for a lighter flavor)
  • 24 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Fresh lavender sprigs or lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat and add the dried lavender and tea bags.
  3. Cover and steep for 5–10 minutes, depending on desired strength.
  4. Strain the tea to remove lavender and tea bags.
  5. Stir in honey or sugar while the tea is still warm. Add lemon juice if using.
  6. Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with lavender sprigs or lemon slices if desired.

  • Use culinary-grade lavender to ensure it’s safe and pleasant for consumption.
  • Adjust sweetness to your preference or substitute with agave syrup for a vegan option.
