Lemon Herb Grilled Salmon

A light and flavorful grilled salmon dish marinated in lemon juice, garlic, and fresh herbs, perfect for a healthy and quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place salmon fillets in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  4. Remove salmon from marinade and place on the grill, skin-side down if applicable.
  5. Grill for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from grill and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • You can substitute dried herbs if fresh ones are not available; use 1 teaspoon dried for every tablespoon fresh.
  • This recipe works well with other fish like trout or halibut.
  • For extra flavor, reserve some marinade (before adding raw fish) and drizzle it over the cooked salmon.
