Lemon Mint Iced Tea

- 4 cups water
- 2 black tea bags
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 2–3 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
- Mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.
- Remove from heat, add black tea bags and mint leaves, and steep for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove tea bags and strain out the mint leaves.
- Stir in lemon juice and sweetener (honey or sugar) while the tea is still warm.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
- Serve over ice with optional lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness according to preference.
- Green tea can be used as an alternative to black tea for a milder flavor.
- Make a large batch and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
