Magical Sprinkle Cookies

Magical Sprinkle Cookies are fun, colorful, and chewy sugar cookies packed with rainbow sprinkles, perfect for parties, holidays, or whenever you want a whimsical sweet treat.

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in 3/4 cup of the sprinkles.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls and roll them in the remaining sprinkles.
  8. Place on prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Do not overbake; cookies should be soft and chewy.
  • You can swap rainbow sprinkles with seasonal or themed colors.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
  • Chilling dough for 30 minutes before baking helps prevent spreading.
