Maple-Bacon Bites

Savory-sweet appetizer bites made with crispy bacon and maple syrup, perfect for parties or snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slices bacon
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Toothpicks for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Cut each slice of bacon into thirds.
  3. Arrange bacon pieces on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Brush each piece lightly with maple syrup.
  5. Sprinkle with black pepper and smoked paprika if desired.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes, turning halfway, until bacon is crispy and caramelized.
  7. Remove from oven and transfer to a paper towel–lined plate to drain excess grease.
  8. Insert toothpicks for easy serving and enjoy warm.

Notes

  • For extra sweetness, brush with more maple syrup halfway through baking.
  • Adjust baking time depending on bacon thickness.
  • Use thick-cut bacon for a chewier bite, thin-cut for crispier texture.
