Matcha Tiramisu Cups

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp matcha powder (plus extra for dusting)
- 3/4 cup hot water
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 12–16 ladyfinger biscuits
- Optional: white chocolate shavings or sweet red bean paste for garnish
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Add mascarpone, sugar, and vanilla extract to the whipped cream and continue beating until well combined and smooth.
- In a separate bowl, dissolve 1 tbsp of matcha powder in hot water. Stir in honey or maple syrup if using. Let cool slightly.
- Dip each ladyfinger quickly into the matcha mixture and layer them into the bottom of serving cups.
- Spoon a layer of the mascarpone cream mixture over the soaked ladyfingers.
- Repeat layers, ending with a layer of mascarpone cream on top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until set.
- Before serving, sift additional matcha powder on top and garnish as desired.
Notes
- Use culinary-grade matcha for the best flavor and color.
- Don’t oversoak the ladyfingers to avoid soggy texture.
- Can be made a day ahead for better flavor development.
