Mini Donuts

Delicious bite-sized mini donuts that are soft, fluffy, and perfect for snacking or entertaining. These are easy to make and can be customized with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying (if using frying method)
  • Powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your mini donut maker or heat oil in a deep pan if frying.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into a piping bag or zip-top bag with the corner snipped off.
  6. Pipe the batter into the greased mini donut molds or drop spoonfuls into hot oil.
  7. Cook for about 2–3 minutes on each side (if frying) or until golden brown in the donut maker.
  8. Remove and let cool slightly on a wire rack.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar or roll in cinnamon sugar while still warm.

Notes

  • You can add a pinch of nutmeg for a classic donut flavor.
  • Try dipping in melted chocolate or adding sprinkles for a fun variation.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
