Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats

- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 10 oz (1 bag) mini marshmallows
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Pinch of salt
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the peanut butter and stir until smooth.
- Add the mini marshmallows and cook, stirring constantly, until fully melted and combined with the peanut butter mixture.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Quickly add the Rice Krispies cereal and gently fold until evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press evenly using a greased spatula or wax paper.
- Let cool completely at room temperature, then cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- For extra flavor, drizzle melted chocolate on top before cutting.
- If you like a firmer treat, add an extra 1/2 cup of Rice Krispies.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
