Golden Saffron Milk is a warm, soothing beverage made with milk infused with saffron, turmeric, and other spices. Known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, this drink is popular in Ayurvedic traditions and is perfect as a relaxing bedtime drink.

Ingredients

  • 56 saffron strands
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper (optional, enhances turmeric absorption)

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add saffron strands and let steep for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir in turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, and black pepper if using.
  4. Simmer gently for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and strain into a mug if desired.
  6. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup to taste.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.
