Shimmering Galaxy Tarts are visually stunning desserts featuring a rich, creamy filling and a mesmerizing, marbled galaxy glaze. Perfect for themed parties or special occasions, these tarts combine flavor and artistry in a single bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Gel food coloring (blue, purple, pink, black)
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup (for glaze)
  • 1 tbsp gelatin powder
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • Edible glitter or stars (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press mixture into tart pans to form crusts.
  3. Bake the crusts for 8-10 minutes. Let cool completely.
  4. In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until just simmering. Pour over white chocolate chips and let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth. Add vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the white chocolate filling into the cooled tart crusts. Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
  6. To make the galaxy glaze, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let bloom for 5 minutes.
  7. In a saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk and corn syrup. Heat until warm, then add the bloomed gelatin and stir until dissolved.
  8. Divide glaze into small bowls and tint with different gel food colorings. Drizzle over set tarts and swirl gently with a toothpick to create a galaxy effect.
  9. Sprinkle with edible glitter or stars, if desired.
  10. Chill for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use ready-made tart shells to save time.
  • Don’t overmix the glaze colors to maintain the galaxy effect.
  • Store in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days.
