Spiced Pear Tea

A warm and comforting tea infused with the natural sweetness of pears and the rich aroma of spices like cinnamon and cloves.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1 black tea bag (optional)
  • 12 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced pears, water, cinnamon stick, cloves, and ginger.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until pears are soft and flavors are well blended.
  4. Remove from heat and strain the tea into a teapot or mugs.
  5. If using, steep a black tea bag in the hot spiced pear mixture for 3-5 minutes.
  6. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use firm, ripe pears for the best flavor and sweetness.
  • You can add a dash of nutmeg or star anise for extra spice.
  • This tea can also be served chilled over ice.
