  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  2. In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and chopped basil leaves.
  3. Gently stir in the strawberry mixture to the cream mixture, ensuring it’s well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Once churned to the desired consistency, transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  6. Serve and enjoy the refreshing strawberry basil bliss ice cream!

Notes

  • For a stronger basil flavor, you can let the basil steep in the cream mixture for 30 minutes before mixing in the strawberry puree.
  • If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze, stirring every 30 minutes until it reaches the desired consistency.
  • Feel free to garnish with additional chopped strawberries or basil leaves when serving.
