Strawberry Basil Lemonade

A refreshing and vibrant summer drink made with fresh strawberries, basil, lemon juice, and a touch of sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Lemon slices and extra basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine strawberries, basil, lemon juice, and sweetener. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove pulp and basil bits.
  3. Add cold water to the pitcher and stir well to combine.
  4. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and basil leaves if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute honey with agave syrup or a sugar-free sweetener for dietary preferences.
  • Adjust sweetness to your liking by adding more or less honey/sugar.
  • Try sparkling water instead of still water for a fizzy version.
