Strawberry Basil Lemonade

- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1/2 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes, for serving
- Lemon slices and extra basil leaves, for garnish (optional)
- In a blender, combine strawberries, basil, lemon juice, and sweetener. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove pulp and basil bits.
- Add cold water to the pitcher and stir well to combine.
- Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and basil leaves if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute honey with agave syrup or a sugar-free sweetener for dietary preferences.
- Adjust sweetness to your liking by adding more or less honey/sugar.
- Try sparkling water instead of still water for a fizzy version.
