- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 large ripe mango, peeled and diced
- 4 cups water
- 4 black tea bags
- 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (optional, to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.
- Remove from heat and steep the black tea bags for 5-7 minutes. Remove tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
- In a blender, combine strawberries and mango pieces. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the fruit puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove pulp (optional).
- Add the cooled tea, honey or sugar (if using), and lemon juice to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
- Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours until chilled.
- Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves if desired.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness to taste using more or less honey/sugar.
- For a fizzier version, replace part of the tea with sparkling water before serving.
- Use green tea instead of black tea for a lighter flavor.
