Tomato Basil Flatbread

- 1 flatbread or naan
- 2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: balsamic glaze for drizzling
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the flatbread on a baking sheet.
- Brush the top of the flatbread with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder.
- Arrange the tomato slices evenly over the flatbread.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and top with fresh basil leaves.
- Optional: drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
Notes
- Use heirloom tomatoes for added color and flavor.
- Flatbread can be replaced with pita or lavash.
