Yogurt Date Bark with Chocolate

A healthy, naturally sweetened frozen snack made with yogurt, dates, and chocolate—perfect for a nutritious treat or dessert.

  • 1 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1012 Medjool dates, pitted and chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (e.g., almonds or walnuts)
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips or melted dark chocolate
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with honey and vanilla extract if using.
  3. Spread the yogurt mixture evenly on the lined baking sheet to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  4. Top with chopped dates and nuts, pressing them slightly into the yogurt.
  5. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top.
  6. Freeze for at least 3-4 hours or until completely solid.
  7. Once frozen, break into bark pieces and enjoy immediately or store in a freezer-safe container.

Notes

  • Use non-dairy yogurt and chocolate to make it vegan.
  • You can add toppings like shredded coconut or chia seeds for extra texture and nutrition.
  • Store bark in the freezer to keep it firm and fresh.
